[36M] Experiencing pain around inguinal hernia surgery scar
Patient Description
A 36-year-old male reports experiencing dull pain around the scar from a right inguinal hernia surgery performed in 2015. The pain occurs mostly at night when sleeping on the right side and lasts about 20-30 minutes. It sometimes extends to the right testicle and is accompanied by light numbness around the scar. There is no swelling, changes in appearance, or weakness in the right leg. Medical history includes type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertensive disorder, hypercholesterolemia, and acid reflux diagnosed in 2020. Allergic to azithromycin. Current medications include Valsartan-hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg daily for hypertension, Rosuvastatin Calcium 10 mg daily for hypercholesterolemia, and Omeprazole 40 mg as needed for acid reflux. Additionally, the patient takes Excedrin Migraine 250 mg as needed.
